Market Tour & Cooking Experience
- 10:00 am -We begin the day with an authentic espresso
- 10:30 am – The class begins with a visit to the famous historic market of Ortigia, where you can start learning about the rich traditions of Sicilian cuisine and taste the fresh produce directly from the sellers
- 11.30 am – After the market visit, we will cross the island of Ortigia going from the Temple of Apollo, Piazza Archimedes, the famous Jewish quarter of Giudecca, where we will see the typical narrow streets and the Jewish bath “miqwaot”, Piazza Duomo, and finally to the source Arethusa, all surrounded by the scents of the Sicilian streetfood.
- 13:30 pm – Guests can enjoy the best street food, where only the locals go for lunch. Sicily is the 5th place in the world in quantity and quality of street food. You enjoy many foods, from savory to sweet, while the Chef Angelo will explain the origin and history of these.
